Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first major honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
